After taking a year off from the NFL, veteran wide receiver Hunter Renfrow has found a new home, Christian Gonzales of NFL.com reports.
The former Las Vegas Raiders wideout is signing with the Carolina Panthers, according to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero who cite sources. The team later announced the move.
Hunter, 29, was a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and became a quick contributor for the Raiders. In his first three seasons, Renfrow developed into a crafty slot receiver and made the Pro Bowl in 2021. However, Renfrow fell in the depth chart the following season under Josh McDaniels. With limited snaps and plays in the last couple of seasons, Renfrow was released by the Raiders following the 2023 season.
