A lot of money is riding on Dak Prescott's play this upcoming season, Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Under his current rookie contract, Prescott's average annual salary is just over $680,000. If he plays well in 2018, he's expected to put himself among the highest-paid players in the league, making over $20 million annually. It's good to be a quarterback in the NFL.

Prescott has two years remaining on his current deal, but he's eligible for an extension after this upcoming season.

Despite knowing that such a significant pay increase could be in his near future, Prescott said Wednesday that he's not feeling any pressure.

"I want to be the best I can," Prescott said from the team's annual Reliant Home Run Derby to benefit the Salvation Army. "I want to be the best quarterback that the Cowboys ever had. So when I go in each and every day, it's just about being the best player I can be. All that stuff comes when you play the game well."
