Coach Jim Harbaugh thinks it's time the school at which he currently coaches, the University of Michigan, erects a statue honoring New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Alyssa Pereira of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Brady, a San Mateo native, played quarterback for Michigan from 1996 to 1999. Following the Patriots Super Bowl win earlier this month, Brady became the record holder for most Super Bowl wins (six) by a player.

In conversation on a podcast called "Attack Each Day," Harbaugh talked about his alma mater's former star player, saying he "lapped the field in football" and he's "synonymous" with other sports giants like Babe Ruth and Michael Jordan.

Former San Francisco 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh thinks it's time the school at which he currently coaches, the University of Michigan, erects a statue honoring New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

"The university that he attended should build a statue," he continued.
