Running back James Conner is not expected to play against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10 according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Conner missed last Sunday's game with a shoulder injury but head coach Mike Tomlin expressed optimism earlier in the week that he would be able to suit up this Sunday.  Apparently that optimism was unfounded as Conner practiced on a limited basis Wednesday but has not progressed enough to play.  With Benny Snell still out with a knee injury, Jaylen Samuels and Trey Edmunds will likely share the workload against the Rams.  Samuels was primarily used as a receiving back with 13 receptions while Edmunds ran on early down but it may not be as much as a timeshare this week.  Edmunds is dealing with a rib injury and missed practice on Wednesday.
