The New York Giants will be missing several offensive skills players as they take on their crosstown rivals the New York Jets Sunday as both tight end Evan Engram and wide receiver Sterling Shepard have been ruled out for Week 10 according to the team's Twitter account.

Neither player has been able to practice this week.  Engram underwent and MRI on his foot earlier in the week and has been unable to practice.  He is not expected to be out for an extended period of time but the fact that the Giants are on bye in Week 11 will give him some extra time to heal.  Rhett Ellison will start at tight end in Engram's place.

Shepard's situation is much more serious.  He has been out with a concussion since Week 5 and there are rumblings that the Giants may put him on injured reserve, ending his 2019 season.  There are also concerns that the concussion could be career-ending.

The Giants also ruled out center Jon Halapio. Halapio is dealing with a hamstring injury and he’s unlikely to be the only starting offensive lineman out of action. Right tackle Mike Remmers is listed as doubtful with a back injury, which means he’s expected to sit out this weekend as well.
