Myles Garrett was reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday from his indefinite suspension, effective immediately, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

“We welcome Myles back to our organization with open arms,” said Browns EVP of Football Operations and General Manager Andrew Berry said in a release. “We know he is grateful to be reinstated, eager to put the past behind him and continue to evolve and grow as a leader. We look forward to having his strong positive presence back as a teammate, player and person in our community.”

The reinstatement comes two days after Garrett, who was banned indefinitely but for at least the final six games of last season for striking Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph over the head with the QB’s helmet, met with Goodell in New York about his return to the Browns.
