Jaguars promote CB Sidney Jones to active roster

The Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted third-year CB Sidney Jones IV from the team's practice squad and placed fifth-year S Jarrod Wilson (hamstring) on the reserve/injured list, the club announced today. The Jaguars also signed rookie CB Josh Nurseand first-year RB Craig Reynoldsto the practice squad and released rookie CB Amari Hendersonfrom the practice squad. 

Jones, 6-0, 181, is in his fourth season in the NFL after originally being drafted by Philadelphia in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. Jones appeared in 22 games for the Eagles over the last three seasons (2017-19), totaling 48 tackles, 10 passes defensed and two INTs. Jones played collegiately at Washington and appeared in 40 games, posting 145 tackles, 21 passes defensed, eight INTs (one returned for TD), six forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries (one returned for TD). Jones will wear No. 35.
