The Detroit Lions are nearing a contract extension with defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, Kyle Meinke of Mlive reports.  This according to ESPN.

“Not done yet but should be soon,” ESPN reported. “Glenn, who interviewed for Arizona and Indianapolis head coaching jobs this cycle, is set to be extended for multiple years.”

Glenn followed Dan Campbell from New Orleans to Detroit in 2021, and while his defense has fallen to the bottom of the league, he’s also been credited with finding solutions amid the storm last season. After allowing 32.1 points per game in the first eight weeks of the season, the Lions allowed just 20.2 the rest of the way. They won eight of their final 10 games during that stretch.

“Honestly, AG would be a great fit for just about anybody,” Campbell once said. “That’s how much I think of him and know where he’s going.”
