The New York Giants have signed veteran wide receiver Jamison Crowder to a one-year deal according to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports.
Crowder likely comes at a bargain for the Giants, though it's a bit of an odd move considering the team already has lots of options to play slot receiver in 2023. . Wan'Dale Robinson was on track for a modest breakout as a rookie while playing primarily from the slot before going down with a season-ending injury. New York also added Parris Campbell in free agency, also a slot receiver.
Originally a fourth-round pick out of Duke by the then-Redskins in 2015, the 29-year-old Crowder played in only four games during his one-year stint in Buffalo before an ankle injury ended his season. He will need a strong showing in training camp to earn more than a part-time role with the G-Men.
