The Denver Broncos have signed former Saints wide receiver Marquez Callaway according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Callaway reunites with head coach Sean Payton after spending two seasons with him in New Orleans. An undrafted rookie free agent out of Tennessee from the 2020 class, Callaway emerged to go for 46-698-6 in his second season with the Saints but fell  to just a 16/158/1 line in 2022 as he was mostly phased out of the offense.  He became a free agent when the Saints declined to offer a tender to him as a RFA.

He now joins a currently crowded wide receiver room in Denver that includes Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, and K.J. Hamler.  But there is opportunity if any rumored trades of Sutton or Jeudy come to fruition as Patrick is coming off a torn ACL that cost him the entire 2022 season and Hamler is out four-to-six months after undergoing surgery for a torn pec.  Callaway turns 25 years old on March 27 and, which he currently holds no fantasy value, he could be an interesting reclamation project for his former coach.
