Before Deshaun Watson begins the Browns’ offseason program, he’ll have to tend to his ongoing legal situation, Scott Petrak of the Chronicle Telegram reports.
Watson is scheduled to give a deposition Monday morning in Houston in the 26th civil lawsuit filed against the quarterback, according to court filings in Harris County, Texas. The notice filed Wednesday says the deposition “will continue from day to day until completed.”
The voluntary offseason program is set to start April 17 in Berea.

Watson was ordered to produce cell phone records, text messages and direct messages between him and the plaintiff, “Jane Doe.” He’s also to bring records indicating who paid for the room at the Houstonian for the message therapy session in December 2020.
On Jan. 10, Judge Rabeea Collier ordered Watson to appear for a deposition within 90 days. Watson’s lawyers argued against the appearance.
The civil lawsuit filed in October was the most recent of the 26 filed against Watson since March 2021 alleging sexual misconduct during massage therapy sessions. Watson, who was traded to the Browns in March 2022, settled 23 of the suits, and one was withdrawn weeks after being filed.
