Tom Brady will be reuniting with the Patriots after all, Mark Daniels of Masslive reports.

On Thursday, the team and owner, Robert Kraft, announced that Brady will be at Gillette Stadium for the Patriots Week 1 matchup, which will be announced later today. The team is planning on honoring the recently retired quarterback in their 2023 regular-season home opener.

Kraft announced the news while speaking on the NFL Network’s ‘Good Morning Football.’ He said that he invited Brady to attend the Patriots home opener and added that the quarterback was excited to come see his former home crowd.

“I’m happy to tell you and your audience that I invited (Brady) back to come here and be with us for the opening game and let the fans in New England thank him for the great service he gave us for over 20 years,” Kraft said. “And it’ll be the beginning of many celebrations to honor Tom Brady and to say, ‘thank you’ for what he did for us in those 20 years of playing for the New England Patriots.”
