Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.

It is possible that he could play this week since the team just opened his 21-day practice window on Wednesday.

Today, head coach Jonathan Gannon told reporters that Conner is "trending in the right direction" to play against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday.
