Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales says the team needs to “find a way” to get the ball to Mike Evans in the postseason according to James Palmer of NFL Network.

Evans, who dominated targets and air yards through the first three months of the regular season, has given way to Chris Godwin as Tampa’s WR1 since the start of December. Godwin has a 29 percent target share to a 19 percent share for Evans since Week 12. Evans had just six catches for 92 yards over the team’s final two regular season contests. Canales said opposing defenses have made every effort to take Evans away with double and sometime triple coverage.

Though Baker Mayfield’s various injuries might limit his ability to throw downfield to Evans, the Bucs seem intent on involving him more in their Monday night game against the Eagles. Evans was targeted on 44 percent of his routes when the Bucs faced Philly in Week 3.
