AJ McCarron has never done much in the NFL, but he was league MVP in the XFL in 2023. And now he’ll return to his XFL team, in a new league, in 2024 according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.com.

The UFL has announced that McCarron is signing with the St. Louis Battlehawks.  He won the league MVP award as the starting QB for the Battlehawks in 2023 and is running it back this year.  McCarron has said that he enjoyed starting in the XFL more than being a backup in the NFL.

Now 33 years old, McCarron was initially a third-round pick of the Bengals out the Bengals re-signed McCarron last dall to back up Jake Browning after Joe Burrow was lost for the season.  The Bengals released him this week so he could immediately sign with the Battlehawks.
