LongtimeNFL kicker Robbie Gould is going back to Chicago but not as a player. According to Michael O'Brien of the Chicago Sun-Times, Gould has accepted a job as the head coach at Rolling Meadows High School.
He has a big job ahead of him as Rolling Meadows went 2-7 in 2023. Gould met with his players for the first time Friday morning.
The 41-year-old Gould kicked for the Bears and has always considered Chicago home despite spending the end of his career in San Francisco. He went unsigned in 2023 and finally announced his retirement in December. In all, Gould played 18 years in the NFL and scored 1,961 points with the Bears, Giants, and 49ers. He’s tenth on the NFL’s all-time scoring list.
