The Chicago Bears rookies have arrived at Halas Hall for the start of training camp, but not all of them will be participating right out of the gate. The Bears have placed rookie offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie on the non-football injury (NFI) list, Brendan Sugrue of USA Today's Bears Wire reports. Undrafted rookie defensive end Jamree Kromrah was placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list as well.
Amegadjie, the team's third-round pick out of Yale, is still recovering from a quad injury he suffered while in college. It's the same injury that kept him out of the spring offseason activities. Head coach Matt Eberflus expressed optimism that Amegadjie would be ready for training camp back in June. He can come off the list at any time, but for now, he's set to miss the first few practices.
