DeAndre Hopkins: Titans stint 'happiest that I've been in any organization'

DeAndre Hopkins only has one year left on his contract, and it sounds like the receiver wants to stay in Tennessee ahead of his second season with the Titans, Caio Miari of theScore reports.

"I love Tennessee," Hopkins told reporters Thursday, including ESPN's Turron Davenport. "I love what (team owner Amy Adams Strunk) is doing. I think this is the happiest that I've been in any organization, so let that speak for itself."

A first-round pick in 2013, Hopkins played his first seven NFL seasons for the Houston Texans before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2020. He spent three campaigns with Arizona and then signed a two-year, $26-million contract with Tennessee in 2023.

The 32-year-old bounced back last year after a pair of injury-plagued seasons in Arizona. He finished 2023 with 75 receptions for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns in 17 games.

"It's a great place to be. (Strunk is) putting pieces together to try to win," added Hopkins, a six-time Pro Bowler with 12,355 receiving yards under his belt. He needs 72 catches to reach 1,000 career receptions.

The Titans had an aggressive 2024 offseason, adding starters on both sides of the ball. Tennessee signed receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd and traded for standout cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, among other moves.
