The Carolina Panthers’ tight end room has yet another new member.
As announced on Monday afternoon, the team has signed Jesper Horsted. The 27-year-old is now the second tight end the Panthers have added in as many days, joining former Seattle Seahawk Jacob Hollister.
A Roseville, Minn. native, Horsted played his collegiate football (and baseball) at Princeton University. He shined for the Tigers in his final two years on the gridiron—totaling 164 receptions for 2,273 yards and 17 touchdowns en route to a pair of First-team All-Ivy League selections in 2017 and 2018.
Horsted began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent of the Chicago Bears in 2019. The 6-foot-3, 237-pound pass catcher amassed 108 yards and three scores on 10 receptions for the Bears over two seasons.
He’s since picked up stops with the Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints.
