The Cowboys have addressed the backup quarterback situation for 2017 by re-signing Kellen Moore, the Dallas Morning News
The team announced the move on Monday.
Moore was set to be Tony Romo's backup last season before fracturing his fibula in the first week of training camp. That paved the way for Dak Prescott's rise under center and Tony Romo's eventual ouster from the team.
The Cowboys did not announce how long or for how much Moore was re-signed.
Moore has started only two games in his career, both coming at the end of the disastrous 2015 season for the Cowboys. He lost both. In the three games he played that season, he completed 58.7 percent of his passes for 779 yards with four touchdowns and six interceptions.
