The Eagles are adding some veteran depth at the defensive end position, Chris Franklin of NJ Advance Media reports.

Defensive end Ryan Kerrigan announced on Instagram that he had signed with the Eagles. The team later confirmed the transaction Monday morning. Kerrigan, who has been named to the Pro Bowl four times, spent 10 seasons with the Washington Football Team, collecting 95.5 sacks, 454 total tackles, and three interceptions.

Last season, Kerrigan mainly came off the bench, only starting one game for the Football Team.

Earlier in the day, Kerrigan posted a goodbye message to Washington players and fans.

“I’ll never be able to sum up what these past 10 years have meant to me in an Instagram post, but what I can say is that they have been some of the best of my life,” Kerrigan wrote. “I hope you had as much fun watching me as I did playing for you. Thank you, Washington, for everything.”
