The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with rookie cornerback Patrick Surtain II, Jon Heath of USA Today's Broncos Wire reports.  It was first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Because he was a first-round draft pick, Surtain’s contract will also include a team option for a fifth year.

The four-year deal is worth $20,962,854, according to OverTheCap.com. That’s an average of $5,240,714 per season, making Surtain more affordable for Denver than fellow cornerbacks Ronald Darby ($10 million), Kyle Fuller ($9.5 million) and Bryce Callahan ($6.191 million).

Surtain was picked by the Broncos in the first round of the NFL draft last month. He is the sixth member of Denver’s draft class to sign, joining DB Jamar Johnson, DL Marquiss Spencer, WR Seth Williams, DB Caden Sterns and CB Kary Vincent.
