Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry is one step closer to returning to the field after spraining his MCL against the Texans in Week 2. The team designated him to return from injured reserve, Dan Labbe of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

They now have until 4 p.m. Saturday to activate him for this week’s game against the Cardinals and 21 days from when they designate him to return or he will revert to injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

The three games missed represent the first time Landry has missed time due to injury. The only other game he has missed during his eight-year career was last December 27 against the Jets when he and a host of other Browns wide receiver were caught up in COVID-19 contact tracing the day before the game.
