Replacing retiring quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be a primary focus,

Coach Mike Tomlin said the team is proceeding under the assumption that Ben Roethlisberger is retired and that backups Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins are in the mix to be the 2022 starter but that nothing is etched in stone yet.

Tomlin said, “All options are on the table.  I enjoy working with Kevin this time of year.”  Of course there may be options in free agency and the draft that might appeal to the Steelers.  There have been reports the team is unwilling to trade for a quarterback.

Roethlisberger has not made a formal announcement but has intimated that this was his last season.
