Buffalo Bills All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer has again decided not to participate in the team’s spring workouts, Nick Wojton of USA Today's Bills Wire reports.

According to head coach Sean McDermott on Tuesday, Poyer is not at practices this week. However, it is important to note that these activities are considered voluntary and Poyer is not required to be there.

“Business is business,” McDermott said.

The coach is referencing Poyer’s known desire for an extension. He changed his agent in an effort to get a new deal from the team. He’s entering the final year of his current contract.

Poyer’s desires came to light after Buffalo extended wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

The 30-year-old earned his All-Pro honors last season. He notched 93 tackles, including eight for loss, with three sacks, nine passes defended and five interceptions.

The defender is entering his sixth year with the Bills and 10th NFL season in 2022.
