Myles Garrett was cited for failure to control his vehicle and for traveling at an unsafe speed for the roadway, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. This according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
According to the crash report, Garrett was traveling 65 mph in a 45 zone in Sharon Township in Medina County on Monday afternoon when he was on his way home from practice. His Porsche 911 hit a ditch and then a fire hydrant before it flipped several times.
Garrett, who has been stopped for speeding multiple times since he was drafted No. 1 overall in 2017, suffered a sprained shoulder, strained biceps and cut hand. He was back at the Browns facility on Thursday, and hasn’t been ruled out for Sunday’s game in Atlanta.
Both he and his female passenger, Yiana Tjotjos of Rocky River, Ohio, were treated and released from a nearby hospital Monday night.
