Defensive end Frank Clark will remain in the AFC West next season, agreeing Thursday to a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Clark's deal includes a $5.5 million guaranteed base salary and can be worth up to $7.5 million if he reaches incentives, the source said.
The Kansas City Chiefs released Clark on March 7 after they were unable to find common ground with his agent, Erik Burkhardt, on a reworked contract.
Clark, who turns 30 next week, joined the Chiefs in 2019 after a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. He played in 58 regular season games in his four seasons with the Chiefs, totaling 23.5 sacks.
Clark often had his most productive games in the postseason. Clark played in 12 playoff games for the Chiefs and had 10.5 sacks. He had three sacks in a divisional round game against the Houston Texans following the 2019 season.
