Bears have no interest in limiting Justin Fields' rushing

Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy would not encourage Justin Fields to become a "robotic" pocket passer and has no interest in limiting the athletic quarterback's rushing according to Yahoo.com.

That is music to the ears of Bears fans and fantasy players alike after Fields ran for 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games in 2022.  . Getsy said he has worked with Fields this offseason on "refining" his game and improving his decision making. "The running part of it -- most of that is a natural thing when you're in the moment," Getsy said.

Now that the Bears have added a true No.1 wideout in D.J. Moore, Fields should take the next step in his development.  The Bears also are likely hoping that Fields won't need to rush as much in 2023 just to keep him upright and healthy.  Considering that the QB just turned 24 years old in March, his improved skills corps could be reason for optimism that Fields can be a top producer both with his arm and his legs this season.
