Joe Flacco left Cleveland on Friday without a deal with the Browns. He'll rectify that when he returns to Northeast Ohio on Monday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

The former Super Bowl Most Valuable Player for the Baltimore Ravens will be signing with the Browns practice squad, a source confirmed to the Beacon Journal Sunday evening. ESPN's Adam Schefter and Field Yates were the first to report the deal.

Flacco, 38, was in Berea on Friday afternoon to work out for the Browns' decision makers. The team was looking for a third quarterback after Deshaun Watson was placed on season-ending injured reserve this week due to impending surgery to repair a displaced fracture of the glenoid in his right shoulder.

Flacco will now become the third face in the quarterback room as the Browns prepare for next week's trip to face the Denver Broncos. It's a face that is grizzled with experience.

A 2008 first-round selection by the Ravens out of the University of Delaware, he spent 11 years with the franchise, winning two AFC North championships, making six playoff and three AFC Championship Game appearances. He spent 2019 with the Broncos before spending the last three seasons with the New York Jets.
