The Patriots have made a contract offer to pending free agent wideout Kendrick Bourne according to Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald.
Terms of the offer are unknown. Bourne joined the Patriots as a free agent in 2021 when he signed a three-year, $15 million contract with the team. During his three-years with the team, Bourne totaled 127-1640-15, and was on pace for a career-year last season before a torn ACL cut him short.
Bourne caught 37 passes for 406 yards and four touchdowns in 2023 but is far from the solution to the Patriots’ wide receiver woes. Still, he could be a serviceable No. 3 option in an offense that desperately needs a No. 1 receiver.
