The Arizona Cardinals signed veteran linebacker Markus Bailey to a one-year contract on Tuesday, and are reportedly inviting former Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa to rookie camp this week at the team headquarters in Tempe, Jose Romero of the Arizona Republic reports.
Bailey was a major contributor on special teams over the past four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played 950 snaps on special teams over four years, including 309 last season. The 27-year-old Columbus native entered the league with Cincinnati in 2020 as a seventh-round pick in the NFL Draft from Purdue.
He appeared in seven playoff games with the Bengals, including Super Bowl 56, and had three tackles on defense and five tackles on special teams.
Tagovailoa, according to NFL Network, accepted an invitation to the Cardinals' rookie camp after taking part in the Seattle Seahawks' rookie camp this past weekend.
