Texans veteran safety Jimmie Ward’s contract was extended by one year through the 2025 season, Aaron Wilson of KPRC reports.  This according to league sources.

He was voted a team captain last season in balloting from his teammates.  

The former 2014 first round draft pick played for the 49ers for 9 years prior to joining the Texans in 2023.
