Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, for the second straight preseason, has dazzled for the Cleveland Browns under center.

And it appears the Browns may be auditioning the former UCLA quarterback for other teams to get a closer look at, Cory Kinnan of Browns Wire reports. According to The Athletic’s Zac Jackson, the Browns have, “discussed a potential trade of second-year quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson with multiple teams, two league sources with knowledge of the discussions told The Athletic.”

This would mean the Browns will likely look to go into the season with just two quarterbacks on their active roster as they did a year ago for most of the season. Signing a veteran like Tyler Huntley, akin to the move to put P.J. Walker on their practice squad a year ago, gives the Browns a player with starting experience they can elevate from the practice squad if needed.
