We already knew that Cowboys defender DeMarcus Lawrence was going to miss significant time with a Lisfranc foot injury but it now appears linebacker Micah Parsons will also require a mult-week absence according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.com.

Appearing on 105.3 The Fan Monday, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Parsons has a high left ankle sprain and is considered week-to-week.  It may be more serious than Jones indicated, however, as multiple reporters in the locker room noted Parson was wearing a boot and using a scooter to get around.

Parsons acknowledged he might miss time through the bye week. The Cowboys play the Steelers and the Lions before their off week, and then play the 49ers in Week 8.  Parsons has missed only one game in his career and that was a Week 17 game his rookie season when he contracted COVID.

The vaunted Cowboys defense was already underwhelming to start the 2024 season but, without both Lawrence and Parsons, the wheels may fall off entirely.
