Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn described rookie sensation Jayden Daniels as "week-to-week" after Daniels suffered a rib injury in the team's Week 7 win according to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post.

He added “We’re hopeful he can play, but we’ll also make sure to take every precautionary step and do it smartly for the player and the man.” Not the most glowing recommendation for the chances of a Caleb Williams-Daniels matchup on Sunday.

Nevertheless, the tenor of most reports about Daniels’ injury are positive and he avoided any fractures.  The other good news is that backup QB Marcus Mariota-himself once a Heisman winner and a No.2 pick in the draft-looked better under center than has in years.  Granted, it was against the Carolina Panthers defense and the Bears present a much stiffer test but the Commanders are in capable hands until Daniels returns.
