Colts head coach Shane Steichen did not commit to starting Anthony Richardson on Sunday against Minnesota, Joel Erickson of the Indianapolis Star reports.
In the past, Steichen has responded to any questions about Richardson’s status as the team’s starting quarterback by saying that as long as Richardson is healthy, he’s the team’s starter.
The team’s position may have changed. Richardson is the team’s starter “right now,” according to Steichen, but he would not commit to starting Richardson against Minnesota.
“We’re evaluating everything,” Steichen said.
The Colts did not consider turning to Joe Flacco at the start of the second half.
