New York Giants rookie running back Tyrone Treacy is in the leagues's concussion protocol according to Art Stapleton of USA Today.
Tracy exited Monday night’s loss to the Steelers after sustaining a brain injury in the fourth quarter. He had shredded the usually-tough Pittsburgh defense for 145 rushing yards and a touchdown in what amounted to a backfield takeover for the explosive rookie. Tracy entering the concussion protocol on Monday night likely means he’ll miss New York’s Week 9 game against the Commanders. Devin Singletary would operate as the team’s lead back if Tracy sits.
