Packers quarterback Jordan Love is “determined” to play in Week 9 against the Lions according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Love suffered a groin injury in last week's road win over the Jags and was unable to finish the game but an MRI did not reveal a long-term injury. Love, Rapoport, said, would not have to be 100 percent recovered to suit up for an important Week 9 game against division rival Detroit. And, considering the Packers are on bye in Week 10, giving the franchise QB an extra week to heal makes a lot of sense.
If Love is able to practice by Friday, he should be good to go against the Lions. If not, Malik Willis — who has been excellent as the backup for the oft-injured Love — would get another start.
