The Colts defensive line might be getting a key piece back soon, Joel Erickson of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Tyquan Lewis will return to practice this week after missing the last seven games due to an elbow injury.
A return to practice does not necessarily mean Lewis will be available to play against Detroit.
Indianapolis is opening Lewis’ 21-day practice window, meaning the veteran defensive lineman has 21 days to practice with the team before the Colts must either activate Lewis to the 53-man roster or place him on season-ending injured reserve.
