Colorado wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter confirmed Thursday that he will enter the 2025 NFL Draft and intends to play both ways at the pro level, Matthew Washington of theScore reports. This according to Sports Illustrated's Pat Forde.

"That's definitely for sure," Hunter said, when asked if there's any doubt he'll enter next year's draft, per ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.

The Buffaloes' two-way star has established himself as the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy this season. In last week's win against Utah, he became the first player since Hall of Famer Champ Bailey to record at least 50 receiving yards while rushing for a touchdown and intercepting a pass in the same game at the college or NFL level. Bailey accomplished the feat during the 2000 NFL season.

Hunter, who is listed as an athlete on Colorado's roster, is posting career-high numbers on offense this season. The junior leads the team with 74 receptions for 911 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, he boasts 24 tackles, eight pass breakups, three interceptions, and a forced fumble in 10 games.

"Travis Hunter should win the Heisman," quarterback Shedeur Sanders said, per Forde.

The two-way star is among the favorites to take home the award this year alongside Ashton Jeanty, Dillon Gabriel, and Cam Ward.

Hunter and Sanders are projected to be among the first players to hear their name called in the NFL draft.
