Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks' season is over after three games, Kevin Patra of NFL.com.

The second-round pick suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in Sunday's loss to Philadelphia, coach Dave Canales announced Monday. Brooks will undergo surgery and miss the remainder of the 2024 campaign

It's Brooks' second ACL injury in nearly 13 months.

"My heart is with him," Canales said. "He's heartbroken, I'm heartbroken. The whole group [is] just feeling for him. We'll be here every step of the way with him, supporting him through this journey. He knows how to do this. He'll be able to attack it, and his focus is just going to shift in terms of what he's competing for."

Brooks was activated last month and saw his first action in Week 12. His rookie season, however, would last just nine carries. Sunday, he took a pitch and, after a few steps, went down with a knee injury in clear pain.
