The Washington Commanders announced they are opening the 21-day practice window for defensive lineman Jonathan Allen according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.com.
Allen's return would be a huge boon for the Commanders as Allen's pectoral injury was considered to be season-ending. Allen will need to be activated by the end of that window in order to return to action in the regular season or playoffs.
Allen last appeared in a game in Week Six and he had 15 tackles, two sacks, and six quarterback hits before being injured. It is likely a stretch for Allen to return against the Eagles this weekend, but there will be more word from the Commanders in the coming days about their plans for him in the final weeks.
