Tyreek Hill, as he often does, generated some chatter and raised some eyebrows with a post on social media this week, Adam Stites of Dolphins Wire reports.
On Wednesday, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver wrote on X, “It’s time for me to go coach.” Debated whether it meant Hill was telling a coach it’s time for him to leave, or if it meant Hill was ready to start a coaching career — but either way, it reads like a player who isn’t planning on staying in Miami long.
A day later, Hill cleared the air and said that’s not the case at all.
When you see guys like Teddy Bridgewater, when you see guys like Michael Vick getting these head coaching jobs; it’s like bro, I want to be a coach also when I’m done playing,” Hill told reporters Thursday. “So that’s all I meant by it. … When I tweet something, it’s not always about football. It’s about seeing these other guys succeed in other areas like Deion Sanders and stuff like that.”
While that explanation is innocent enough, Hill has also made it no secret that he loves trolling on social media. And when his vaguely ambiguous tweet earned some attention, Hill reveled in the chaos.

But for fans who are frustrated with the Dolphins — and Hill specifically — for a season that has fallen short of expectations, the receiver’s social media games aren’t too amusing.
“I get it,” Hill said. “I want to win. We want to win just as bad as everybody else. We’re out here busting our tail each and every day like just to get over the hump. At the end of the day, I’m going to be me. I’m going to have fun, I’m going to laugh, I’m going to have a good time. That’s just my personality because I feel like I can’t dwell or be mad because at the end of the day I’ve got to go home to my wife and my daughter, so I’ve got to be able to switch hats. So when I’m at home, I’m in a good mood.
“It kind of sucks for the fans, I’m really hoping we can continue to fight on as a team, continue to build what we’ve built in the previous years. I think we can build off the two great seasons that we had. Like we made it to the playoffs – that’s great. It’s hard to make it to the playoffs in the NFL. People won’t tell you that, but it is. So at the end of the day, it sucks. As a fan, it sucks.”
