There have been many critics of Mike McDaniel’s handling of the Miami Dolphins locker room since head coach admitted after the season that he struggled to discipline the team and fining players “didn’t move the needle.”
Among the many who say the team has a culture issue is Rachel Bush, the wife of Dolphins safety Jordan Poyer, Adam Stites of Daolphins Wire reports.
Shortly after McDaniel’s admission about the team’s discipline issues, Bush posted on social media that the Dolphins need more “grown men” in their locker room.
‼️ in order for any organization to succeed you need players to take their jobs seriously. Grown men. Not little boys. If you don’t have that it’s like a plague that’s spreads and those who do take their jobs seriously question why they are even there trying when others aren’t. https://t.co/3tWZMyNuKh

Days later, Bush reposted a video of ex-NFL players Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson criticizing the Dolphins’ maturity issues. She’s also had effusive praise for the locker room culture of the Buffalo Bills, where Poyer spent seven seasons before joining Miami in 2024.
Things that have been 100% confirmed for me this year-simplicity is better, just play ball I don’t know why everyone isn’t taking notes from Buff on this. -hard work & camaraderie beats talent any day. -lastly what the guys started building 8 years ago in Buff can’t be replicated https://t.co/FmJypa0s0G

Poyer, 33, signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins and is due to become a free agent in March.
