The Chicago Bears aren't quite finished with their first round of head coaching interviews, Brendan Sugrue of Bears Wire reports.  According to FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer, the Bears are interviewing Tennessee State head coach Eddie George for their head coaching vacancy. The interview is scheduled to take place on Sunday morning, though it's unknown at this time if it's in person or virtual.

George became a household name as a running back for Ohio State in the 1990s and in the pros for the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans. The former Heisman Trophy winner was drafted in the first round and had a stellar career, rushing for over 10,000 yards and earning four Pro Bowl selections before he retired following the 2004 season.

In 2021, George got into coaching, becoming the head coach at Tennessee State. In four seasons, he compiled a 24-22 record for the Tigers, who played in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). His best season came in 2024 when he coached Tennessee State to a 9-4 record that included a playoff berth. Now, he will get a chance to interview at the pro level for the Bears, who have already interviewed 16 candidates up to this point.
