The Dallas Cowboys completed an interview with offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer for the team’s vacant head coaching position, David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports.
The Cowboys have completed interviews with three former head coaches since parting ways with Mike McCarthy. In recent days, the organization has spoken to Robert Saleh, Leslie Frazier and Kellen Moore. Schottenheimer, 51, is the first known internal candidate to interview for the head coaching job.

Schottenheimer has been with the Cowboys the last three seasons, and served as the offensive coordinator under McCarthy the past two years. The son of legendary coach Marty Schottenheimer, Brian has more than two decades of experience as an NFL assistant, but has never been a head coach.
