With the New Orleans Saints closing in on hiring Kellen Moore as their new head coach, the squad's former interim HC is heading out west, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.

Darren Rizzi is being hired as the Denver Broncos special teams coordinator, according to NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. The team later confirmed the hiring.

Much like Moore's hire in the Big Easy, Rizzi's move to the Mile High City was expected.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Jan. 31 that Rizzi was likely to become Denver's ST coordinator and had been the favorite for some time to succeed Ben Kotwica, who was fired in January.
