The Seahawks have announced they have resigned cornerback Josh Jobe, Kole Musgrove of Seahawks Wire reports. The NFL is very much a "next man up" league, and when opportunity starts knocking, it's best to open the door and take advantage. This is something Jobe managed to do in 2024, as he was elevated from the practice squad prior to the Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons and earned himself a spot on the active 53-man roster for the remainder of the season.
Jobe was a restricted free agent, but the indication from Seattle seems to imply they worked out an actual contract as opposed to giving him a RFA tender.
Jobe emerged as a solid player in the Seahawks secondary, and after being elevated in Week 7 he played in the next 10 games for Seattle, even starting six of them. Jobe's best moment did come in Week 8 when he snagged an interception from eventual league MVP Josh Allen. What made the turnover even more impressive was the fact it was the first Allen threw all season.
