The Patriots continued what already appears to be a busy start to free agency, bolstering the interior defensive line.
The Patriots have agreed to a deal worth $26 million per season with 25-year-old defensive tackle Milton Williams. Hayden Bird of the Boston Globe reports. This according to both NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter,
Williams, who just got done helping the Eagles win the Super Bowl, is now set to be the third highest paid defensive tackle in the league (trailing only Chris Jones Christian Wilkins, per NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry).
As part of the Eagles’ dominant defensive unit in 2024, Williams recorded five sacks and made 10 quarterback hits. He notched the fourth highest pass rush win rate among interior defensive lineman in the NFL, according to Brian Hines of Pats Pulpit.
