Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has made it clear he won't request a trade despite the team signing former Giants' first-round pick Daniel Jones to compete with him for the starting job according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The Colts will reportedly hold an open competition between Richardson and Daniel Jones, who on Tuesday signed a one-year contract with Indy worth $14 million, with $13.5 million guaranteed. Richardson, who has struggled mightily with accuracy and touch throws over his 15 NFL starts, is working with a biometrics coach to clean up his throwing motion ahead of what will be a make-or-break year for the former first-round pick. Richardson, per his agent, will be “ready to roll” for a competition with Jones.
